I have lake insight v14 and just used it on P4. The contours were nice and it was dead on as far as the location of the wing dams.

Leech lake looks good, I just got V15. the thing I do not like is the weeds when they are shown. I wish I could turn this weed feature off.

Do you get a yr free genesis with this one… I saw it on the 14 but I couldn’t find it on the 15 description

It looks like it does, I just got it last weekend when I found out my lakemaster would not work on my new Gen 2 10 with 3.0.

    how does that work?

V15 HD comes with the insight genesis subscription. The non HD version doesn’t.

I just picked up the Lake Insight V15 HD chip yesterday. Very good chip and yes the Rainy River is in full detail on this chip. STILL the St. Croix where I fish doesn’t have anything. I figured that was going to happen though.

As much as I fish it though, I will just setup logs and use the included free Insight Genesis to create my own 1ft contour maps of the area I fish.

I do like the fact that Lake Superior is even on this thing in full detail!

Also check Navionics + with SonarCharts, it is non region specific card so it can be used in Canada and US and Off Shore in the Great Lakes. To preview mapping go to the Navionics Web App and after you zoom in click on the sonar icon for the High SonarCharts view. http://webapp.navionics.com/?lang=en

I too am undecided. Coming from Lowrance LCX units with Navionics chips. Looking for Lakechip for HDS8 unit.

I bought the HD Pro V15, West version. Pulling up the lakes in CO, WY and NE, I’m not impressed. Any lakes I fish the contours are identical to the existing Insight. Some of the SD lakes look good. I am returning my chip since I did not see an improvement compared with my Navionics chips I already own.
