Just Curious if anybody knows the ice conditions on lake independence. A close friends cancer came back this summer and unfortunately he hasn’t had the opportunity to make it out due to the complications associated with it. He has been itching to get out and test his new Humminbird Helix Ice unit.
I used to fish this lake quite a bit, haven’t been down an a few years. We will be fishing out of the truck to make things easier. Im assuming the ice is fine but wanted to confirm before we make the trek down from the North metro. Also if anybody knows what time the gate locks to enter as I have forgotten.
