Lake independence West Metro

    Do any of you fine folks know current ice conditions of lake Independence. I have a day off this week and was thinking of heading over to do a little a.m. fishing. Ill be dragging my equipment.

    Drove by it on my way home today and there were 3 people out. Im thinking about trying it friday after work, it will be my first time out this year.

    We did last thurs, we took a wheeler, 6 inches around the point north of the Park launch and 8 inches up between the camp and island. We did not head out into the middle so no ice report there.

    Great, thanks for the report. Do they charge to park a truck and trailer in the winter?

    I do not believe so but not 100% certain, ours was in the bed of a Truck.
