I may run out to Colorado next week. Anyone have ice/snow conditions at Granby. Need to know if I can get by with atv.

A family friend who guides on granby had a report that they found 6″ of ice in spots, but still open water in places from his ice report Monday. He said to check the ice as you go. The mine bay was pretty open on Monday and was also open in front of the pump house. most of the lake has 3-5″ of ice but he was stressing to check as you go the ice fluctuates quite a bit. Love fishing granby my biggest laker was 39″ at 19lbs from a boat, my dad caught a 42″ through the ice.

Thanks for the update. Was hoping for better conditions. I got a 29# two years ago. Looking for a CO state record out of there. I know of a couple in the low 30s that were caught/harvested.

I might be up there this weekend and will let you know. X2 to Aaron’s report. We boated it on December 30th to give you an idea of how late it is freezing up and only ice at that time was in Columbine. As of early this week I understand there was still open water near Harvey and entrance to Columbine.

Yeah it is strange, hoping they can get some ice for you guys to get out and be able to have a safe trip.

If not, I have plan B. About 1800 rounds loaded for my 22-250s. Lots of prairie dogs to blast
