Has anyone fished Lake George up by Andover? I just bought a house that is close and was looking for information.

    Thanks,
    Greg

I haven’t fished it for years and it was only a couple times. I think it used to be known as a good crappie lake.

    How’s the water clarity?

That lake is bad juju! Enter at your own risk and wear your life jacket!and don’t leave anything in your vehicle that you don’t mind giving away.

    Catnip,
Sounds like you had a bad experience or two.

Lost a motor on a new boat, broke a lower unit, sank a boat, mu buddies truck got broken into and watched a guy toast a new 200 mercury. All on different trips to that cursed body of wicked water. Maby try shore fishing if you must go there.

Its pretty much a huge bowl. tends to be very shallow around shoreline. Great panfish, bass, and pike lake. Lots of boat traffic on the weekends and holidays.

My buddy has a house on it and I went out with him last year for a little while. There were 3 or 4 boats pulling tubers/skiers. Tons of boat traffic, saw 1 guy fishing and he had to deal with the constant waves from the other boats.
