    Thinking about heading out to Lake Francis Case this coming weekend in South Dakota, to get away from this major cold spell. Anyone have any information, or insights on fishing there. Any information is greatly appreciated.

    Being from South Dakota, I don’t think you’re going to get too warm of weather there. But, it is usually a little warmer in southern SD than northern SD, where I grew up (Watertown). What is the forecast?

    We will be ice fishing. We arrive on Friday. According to weather.com, suppose to be around 30 Saturday and Sunday, unlike the temps of 2 from where I’m from in northeast Iowa.
    Any fishing information would greatly appreciate it.

    Down by the platte creek area I know they are ice fishing. 4 to 8 inches of ice. If you stay at the plate creek lodge they will give you some direction on where to start.
