I am considering a trip out to Chamberlain, SD for 3 to 4 days of fishing.
It will be my first trip out there.
Looking for any advice anyone might have, place to stay, where to start, etc.
Thanks in advance for any help.

We stayed here when we went out there in the spring a couple of years ago:

Gary runs a motel and guide service. He gave us lots of pointers on what to try and where to try them.

I know a bunch of friends are out on the river this weekend around the Platte Creek area, something must be going on, they’re pretty quiet

I know this time of year Gary and the Hillside guides are mostly fishing up on Sharpe. Lots of Smallies and good amount of Walleye.

Plenty of wind out there for everyone!!!! Don’t take a small boat out there unless the wind is calm or shore fishing is the option. Have fun and be safe!!

I have a Pro Guide 1675, 75HP. I can handle some wind, but stay out of the big bloes.
