It was announced today that the DNR has partnered with NASA and that regulations are already being drafted. The “Red Pond” as its being dubbed will likely start out with a lot of restrictions and slowly move towards gaining more as they study the lake

“Red Pond” deemed racist by local Martians so it was renamed Bde Maka Ska.

    So how is the bite?

I’m not sure about the bite… But there’s an OK restaurant on the shore. The food’s excellent, but there’s no atmosphere.

So if you’re fishing lake on Mars, does that make YOU the invasive species?

Is netting by select groups allowed here or is it too early to decipher?

You must remove all space dust from your spacecraft prior to landing on Mars by using one of the designated decon checkpoints AND you are prohibited from use of the lake if you have recently traveled to Uranus……

Even if Uranus has been thoroughly cleaned?

On holiday weekends I’ll be bringing a chair and a cooler to watch all the amateurs screw up the launch routine.

Studies of the toxic gasses leaking from Uranus’ atmosphere reveal the planet has never actually been thoroughly cleaned.

Studies have shown Uranus has never actually been thoroughly cleaned.

Hey a couple people have checked it out, but I’m not sure we could call it studies.

Uranus is much less visited than other areas in the region. It can be very a enjoyable trip but take it slow down there and respect the sensitive nature of the environment.

I was excited about running up to fish the lake, but once I saw their license fees for non residents are second only to Minnesota I started to have second thoughts. Not to mention the “fish” there have been given special privilege rights and you can’t cast towards them without the fishs’ express written consent.

If it’s the Minnesota DNR, bet you will only get to fish with one rod!

    Which spots would you target?

Sure looks like some good depth contours. Kinda tough to see where weed lines could be. That point with the obvious sand bar on the NE looks promising. But the shallow flats in the WSW might be dynamite for some top water action.

The gravity is so much less on Mars, you need twice the amount of egg sinkers to cheat on the MWT (Mars Walleye Trail).
