Guys, im looking to fish walleye on either Lake Erie or Saginaw Bay. We have snowmobiles and GPS; however, we have never fished either of these locations and wouldnt even know where to start. We live on the West side of MI and plan to make a weekend out of it. We plan on taking all safety precautions neccesary, but we are looking for good advice in terms of which fishery will produce the best fish this time of year. Any help is appreciated and we would love to meet up with any fellow sportsmen who would like to assist. Thank you in advance!

From all of the successful reports coming from Erie, I would say that’s the place to go. Lots of info on here and guys to contact for help.

I’ve got an uncle that lives up by sag. He gets numbers but not the size. If we’re looking for that fish of a lifetime, erie.

Thanks guys! It looks like Erie it is. Now I have to figure out if I should go to OH or stay in MI. I know the IDO guys went in through OH and I hear good things down there, just never hear much about the MI side. Looks like I will be buying an out of state license if I have to.

3-day sounds like the ticket. Can’t wait till Friday! Now just need to plan where to put in and park in OH.
