Was out on the Croix yesterday an fished all my ‘normal’ spots from St.Croix Bluffs, up to the Kinni with little success and not really marking a whole lot of fish whatsoever. After fishing numerous spots and only picking up one 17″ eye (which was awesome it wasn’t a typical 14.75″ short) and couple dink saugers, it was time to head up to other spots north of the Kinni. Again, it was tough fishing and only two more dink saugers were landed. We mainly trolled 3-ways looking for fish. We did find one spot where there were a few walleyes that were holding tightly to the bottom on a breakline. We dropped some live bait rigs…but no takers. At least I got a nice meal for the lady and I.
