The ice in our area is starting to take shape after the brief warm up. I have seen people out near Stoddard and Fishermans Road the last 2 days. All foot travel so far. I am waiting to get back on the ice myself soon!!
I would guess its got to be six inches up there. I’m from southern Wi and we got 4 to 6.
Pretty much found 5-6 inches of ice in all the areas my son and I fished this weekend. We fished from Stoddard to behind Gundersen, the Black River and Lake Onalaska. Still would advise checking with spud-bar. Can’t EVER be over cautious! Better safe than sorry!! Be safe and tight lines.
I to am ready to get up that way ice fishing. I miss fishing the lake and the Black River.
