Hummingbird 798ci was awesome. Fished 9′ and only complaint was it was almost too sensitive and was set as low as it goes targeting panfish. Ended up with 12 9-10″ gills, one 10″ perch, 3 14″ LM and lots of others Saturday. Best $65 spent lately.

Also got reply from Versa on Troller. Estimate for repair once received is just a week.

Troller was repaired in just under a week as promised. Mine was one of the last version 1’s. For the $59 repair my Troller has not only been repaired but upgraded to v2. I bought the Troller for $130 and this is it’s second season. The Troller v2 was out at the time but at least $60 more so they got it out of me one way or another. My bird is flying great so the best thing about the Troller failing is it forced me to convert my bird to an ice machine and I’m now completely satisfied and have a Troller for my kids to use. Anyone wanting to dump their Troller cheap? I have 4 boys.

I love my LX9, going on 3 years and no issues. Vexilars are junk.

I like my showdown and its in for repair, but I have to agree the fl8 was totally reliable for many yrs till it was stolen. I should have just bought another fl8.!!! they do what i need, show bottom, show fish, show my jigs.

I wish the Bird/Lowrance (Non ICE) were better at IR. That is the achilles heel. They trump everything in features but near a Vex or Marcum they get blown out of the water with interference.

I think they may be a little busy over there. I called 6 times yesterday and finally got someone in the afternoon. I love my lx-5, had it since 2009 with 0 problems, but something broke or came loose a couple weeks ago and it makes horrible sounds now, I describe it like change in a dryer. I can actually see a metal piece in the screen. Guy asked me for name and number, what was wrong with it, told me it would be $85 to fix, and gave me a RA number. Just, Hoping I can get it fixed before our next tournament.

I’ve only noticed a slight IR problem so far with my bird and resolved it by telling my bro the fish were at least 20-40 yds away and then the interference disappeared. I now that two flashers on the ice which has it’s advantages once I find 2 hot holes I can bounce back and forth without moving a flasher with me. Angle them the right way and I can see when my dead stick enticed a fish and needs a wiggle. I might have to get a third flasher since Wisconsinauts get to use 3 lines.
