Not terrible. Bought 3 off e bay or Amazon for cheap. Don’t use them for anything other than a snell not and use the jig eye point and it as a snipper more than anything.
I’ve been using a Tie-Fast for quite a while now. Bobbing in a boat, wind, cold hands, ageing eyes will keep it on my required gear list along with their cutter/eyelet poker.
I’ve not tried any new ones in past 10 years. The ones that I did try years ago seemed to me to be a fad or gimmick. The effort required to memorize the steps to use it was about the same as just learning how to tie the knot without a fixture.
One knot tool that would be useful are those little laminated knot tying cards to remind you how to tie various knots.
Of course the best gadget is to spit on the knot before cinching it up.
Ok most of these will tie nail knots-is that knot good for tying braid to flouro?
Thanks
Sure. Back to back nail knots will work well. Basically you tie one nail knot over the braid, and the other nail knot over the mono. Then pull it all up tight and draw the knots up against each other.
I had a family friend who sold The Knotter in a booth at the state fair, sportsmans show, and other various large gatherings. That guy could sell warm beer he was so good at selling his product. I can still hear him “One for 3, 2 for 5. Ties the perfect knot every time.”
I use the Tie-Fast Knot Tying tool. I do not use it for the regular knots I use like palomar or trilene/improved trilene. But I do use it for snells and tying fluro leaders onto braid. It does work well.

I picked up one of those. Worked pretty decent. The best knot tying assist I got was cataract surgery, Don’t need a tool now I can see again!
