I have an older Remington folding fillet knife I’m kind of attached to. But it the springs/lock mechanism that hold the fold in place need replacing. I did a quick Google search and found two places but they wont work on folders.
Does anybody know of a place that works on folders in MN?
Your best bet is to look into blacksmiths that specialize in knives. You could always mail it to them if need be. I can’t think of anyone in MN off hand, but that’s the search I would start with
How about sending it back to the manufacturer for out of warranty repair? Most quality knife manufacturer have that service.
There is a guy in Windom that might be able to help. He is a collector an dealer and restores a lot of knives. I don’t have his contact info at hand but his last name is Ward. Windom is pretty small there couldn’t be too many.
