Looking for suggestions from other big guys. I’m looking for some rubber/muck boots that are of larger size at the ankle The ones I’ve tried on are very difficult to get on or off and doing so is very painful for my back and hips. Any ideas) than you for your consideration and time.

I tried on every model Muck boot makes, and none of them would slide on over my instep. If I found a pair that I could get on, they’d be too big in the foot. After trying on a lot of boots I ended up getting a pair of LaCrosse Alpha Burly’s. Walked all over Goodhue county last weekend looking for Pheasants and the new boots worked well.

I bought some Dryshod boots and am happy so far. They are easier to slip on and off than my Lacrosse’s were.

Have tried using a concubine? I hear they are wonderful at tasks like this and other tasks as well.

I have a pair of 16″ LaCrosse Alpha Lites that are great. No problem getting them on and off.

Try using a boot jack to take them off. Saves a lot of bending/twisting.

I tried on many pair before finding one that worked for my arch. Many wouldn’t even go on my foot. Ended up with the Muck Woody Sport II. Love them. Go on and off easily.
