KleenDef vs Blue Def

Wondering if there is any difference? Menards has a sale for KleenDef at $6.99 per jug with Blue Def at $13.99. Same size jugs. I just happened to be in a Menards this week after buying a jug at a truck stop in ND for $26.99. Then saw the KleenDef at $6.99. WTH?!

When I had my diesel I ran both, and never really noticed a difference. Maybe the Kleen Def didn’t go quite as long, but not nearly enough to offset the price difference. Maybe it doesn’t burn as clean as the other. The truck stops should have def fluid in bulk at the pump. Way cheaper than anything in the box too. Just don’t be a dumbass like a guy I work with and pump some into the fuel tank. $15K later his truck runs good now.

Look at the ingredients, should be 32.5% urea and 67.5% de-ionized water. Only 2 ingredients in Def

I generally do as well, but at -20F, the pumps were down at three different truck stops.

That sucks, especially when you’re a few miles away from turtle mode.

I’ve done it more times then I should have. Driving in bfe in the cold and my def jugs frozen in the back of the truck so washer fluid limped me through to the next station.

I run the KleenDef in mine with no issues. At $6.99/jug it is cheaper than buying it at the pump.

Only sticker that would make that Ford cool would be a bowtie on the tailgate.
