Awesome to see a pair of kids launching/landing a 10 footer with a lawn mower this afternoon on Green Lake in Chisago county.

I told them it was killer and I was putting their pics on the internet peace

Side note: if anyone wants to whack solid pike on leadcore shoot me a pm. Had a blast, caught 8 fish in 90 minutes, biggest was 32″

    Get off my turf.
Sure is nice seeing kids do that. Were they all down deep?
I seen they weed killed the lake a couple days ago that’s when I start staying off of it. Seems to change the habit out there

It was pretty cool to see. The best part was the smiles on their faces toast

Bearcat, the fish were thick in a stretch of 18-20′. I was targeting eyes, but the nice pike were a lot of fun.

That’s great! Used to use a side by side to launch at my grandparents on the lake before i was old enough to drive a truck! Still wasn’t the best idea but they live less than half a mile from the access so it worked well!

That’s the lake my folks are on….you probably saw them out there on a Bennington pontoon this afternoon. I haven’t fished it much this year but the pike can be on the chew sometimes.

Walleye are elusive for me in the summer. I don’t target them much until fall. It’s a great all around lake, though.

We used to put my dads canoe on our skateboards and push it 6 blocks to the lake and spend every summer day on chisago and or kroon. We had those plug in computer speakers on our discmans, the simplest of tackle. Typically jig head with beetle spin and just change out the size of our plastic worms.
    Those were the days

Do they have an American flag and Gophers flag?

Stupid millennials and their…oh wait, wrong thread!

Awesome. I had a paddle boat I hauled around on vermilion for years as a kid. Kept her in the bays but I had a blast. Once in a while I’d have huge deep v’s following behind me. I felt I caught more fish in that then my current boat…

Nope, 26’ Bennington with a navy Bimini. They live on the south side, about 500 yards west of the launch.

We should get a green lake fishing trip in the fall….me, you, @bearcat89 for an evening on the lake.

Ha ha that’s awesome. Glad the local police seen the good side of it. Slow neighborhood in a quieter area. No trouble to be had.

And yes works for me as well. The fish are always moving up there. B mann biggill and my self met out there with all the rugrats and had a very productive day of fishing. Kept all the kids busy.

I’ll let you guys know when I’m up there this fall – I always drag the boat up with me.

Sounds good Matt, hit us up. Bearcat is a fun guy and I’d like to think I’m a pretty good fella myself (jury is out on that one) jester

Roughly what time in the fall? And if you’re only dragging the boat up for a single day, we have boats too, no need to bring yours unless you’re doing multiple outings waytogo
