Went out with the kids on a metro lake for the afternoon for a rotation of fishing, TV, and playing in the snow. Thought we were gonna get skunked but then he got one fish on a sucker – 4lb 19″. For some reason he always wants to “catch a bass” even though I tell him we really don’t target those on ice. He won’t stop talking about it.

We should get a thread going for “Kids N Fish”. Seems like a lot of us here have young kids who fish.
Nothing better then watching the kids catch a nice fish , no matter the species. The smile on the faces of the little ones is so great to see.
Especially when the kid wants a bass and he gets a nice one.
I’m sure like many other parents when fishing with young ones I rarely am actually the one catching anything. I let little man get as many as possible.
