I’ve been looking at 110cc and mainly 125cc wheelers for my son. The prices went up just like everything else.
Does anyone have experience with any of the foreign brands? Are the smaller Honda’s, Polaris’s etc worth the extra cash? Seems like the smaller Honda’s, Polaris’s etc are all 90cc. Do they have enough motor for him to not outgrow right away? I was thinking the 125cc would last him until he is big enough for a 250.

I’ll be watching this thread. My kids are getting to the age where they will need something more than a Power Wheels 4 wheeler.

My boy does have his pretty tricked out though waytogo

I might be helpful if you mention the age of your child. I started my daughter on my full size can-am at the age of 6. Obviously the throttle was restricted. Those off brand wheelers are fine if you buy them with the intention of throwing them away when they break. It really depends on the age and the comfort level of you as the parent. Me personally if your starting them at the age of 3 you would have to pick a smaller model but the bigger models with power steering will allow any age group to ride.

my kid rode a full size rancher 350 I would shift it in to second and let him rip around behind me on the lake and through the yard. He’s was 6 at that time

Just sold our sons Kawasaki 50 that he had. I bought it used when he was 4 and now is 7. The name brand ones are more money but they hold there value very well. I sold mine for more money than I bought it for.

I bought a Coolster 125 for my son last year when he was 7. Works great for him still this year guessing he’ll be able to ride it until 11 or 12 if not longer. They are cheaper made but figured by the time he outgrown it I’d be getting rid of it anyway

I agree with the name brand recommendation. I’ve been asked to work on a few of the Chinese models due to no start electrical issues. It’s always different and never fun to fix.

My dad bought a 93 Honda TRX90 new for my brothers and I when we were little. I still have it and hope to get it going again when my kids are old enough.

Thanks guys. The boy is 5 turning 6 this winter. He drives the zero turn, tractor and golf cart.
I hate not being able to get parts easily and the price of the foreign ones have gone up. Maybe I’ll keep an eye out for a used name brand. I have a Polaris trailblazer 250 that was planning on him ripping but the wife doesn’t like the size.

    Parts availability….
Ask the dealer if they have another rim, plastics, voltage regulator and plug coils in stock.
Things are going to break and fail on any wheeler regardless of brand.
