Just curious to see what was some of your key take aways from last deer season? Bow, firearm, or muzzle loader. Public or private. I had two really big take aways from hunting public hard. My first one was go deep right away. I was nervous to get to close to bedded deer too early and ruin it. The best hunts I had seeing deer consistently was getting as close as I thought I could get away with. And the biggest deer. Getting away from the pressure for sure upped my odds. My other big takeaway was to sit edges rather than hunting woods. Most of my hunting was swamp edges but once I picked up on that I was finding better sign and leaving people behind closer to trail systems.

Soybeans are by far the best overall food plot plant. the deer were still feeding on the stubble this spring and visited the field all winter long. Variety is still the best if you have the space.
