Kershaw makes a LOT of knives. Many are cool.

I just added two to my collection and one really impressed me. The Cinder. Its a tiny locking folder with bottle opener that is shockingly well built. Most of the beer brands I drink require opener so its nice to carry one. Easily fits a keychain however I cannot justify swapping for my mini swiss which has so many more features (except bottle opener!)
Its smaller than it looks in the pic.

Question- Can you own/carry an auto opening knife in MN? I was told no. I travel to MN often and I have a Gerber mini covert that I carry every day. Thanks and sorry for the derail

That kershaw looks like a handy little knife tho!

I’ve switched over to the Outdoor Edge Slide Winder.
Very small, accepts ordinary razor blades, and at $10 I don’t feel bad when security makes me throw it away at events.
Thrown away to much $$$ having a nice EDC.

I know I cant buy one in Mn. I was going to have one shipped to a friend in sconny but then I lost interest. I know a guy that carries one here but seems like he is legal for some reason. Ill find out.

Update: He says his police id allows him to acquire/carry it here.

certain FFL holders, LEO and active military can, regular civilians cannot…

Be advised that a Switchblade under MN law does NOT include spring assisted knives like the Gerber Mini Covert FAST, just automatic knives. Only Knives like the Gerber model 6, Covert/Mini Covert Auto and Benchmade Infidel are generally considered “switchblades” in MN. If you have a standard mini covert, you cannot bring it into MN.

I have Kershaw lock back that I’ve had for years and its my deer knife. I absolutely love that knife. I had a Puma Gamewarden for many, many years and loved it until the blade began to cup from sharpening it. I still have that Puma in the knife drawer with several others and the Kershaw.
