Does anyone know if they are fishing near Kellogg in the area that is called Pritchard Lake?

I heard that it maybe froze out a year or so ago? Looking for intel as I plan on making a trip over in the next couple of weeks.

    Thanks in advance.

Haven’t fished it this year but I imagine there’s hardly enough water currently. Only the dredge area has more than 1-2’ of water typically. And not by much.

Hate to tell you but odds are best you pick another spot.
Pritchards was great…30 years ago. Then it silted in and crap.
Still some pike to be had, few pannies but overall…another memory from the past.

It Still attracts a small crowd but just another hit but more miss spot.

That pool was lowered for hopefully better waterfowl hunting. Hoped it worked but the low water didn’t help the fishing.

    ^Nailed it.

Unfortunately the backwater fishing spots down here are becoming silted in at a record clip. There are places off the beaten path where we’d hammer fish just ~15 years ago in 6-8′ of water that now are essentially land. Those fish that do Winter in the remaining well known deeper backwater spots are easy targets with the number of anglers hammering community holes.

on a side note are there any areas anymore that have 5 or so feet that anyone cares to share? i tried wilcox few weeks ago and there is 8 by the landing but as you go out of the cut it is barely a foot of water/mud. i went to check the finger lakes a few years ago and it was all mud and little water. i know the sloughs like pontoon and beef are fishable but any other places to try there? i know these backwater cuts are guarded in secrecy so if anyone wants to DM, i would repay the favor somehow. all C&R here just looking for some options some day.
