Bought minnows for tomorrow. They’re in the plastic bag from the bait store.

Will they keep alive for 24hrs in that bag? Or should I get them out and into an open-air container?

Keep them outside in an open air container-coons will love you! Smart to fish opener on Monday BTW. Keep them cool and avoid fast temp. changes. I would put the bag in the fridge and add a plastic ice block to the continer when you go out. Good luck

Thanks Tim. Guaranteed my wife won’t let me put them in the fridge, but I have them in the basement.

And actually I just need to keep them alive until 8am tomorrow…. then they’ll start to die one at a time. jester

The oxygen filled bag from the bait shop will keep them healthier than an open air container for a couple days. If you can’t keep them in the fridge I’d put them in a cooler with ice.

I keep minnows like this for a couple days at a time. I always keep them in the garage fridge. If not a cooler with ice.

I have a big minnow bucket with a fish pump aerator to keep bubbles and a few ice cube here and there works for days
