I loved Keenum’s competitiveness, but I didnt think he was an above average QB. I would have been comfortable with him in 2018, but with guys like Mike Glennon available…
Keenum is 30 years old, cheap and played very well last year. And he costs 1/10 of cousins. Oh ya and he won and got the Vikings to the championship game. It’s not like he was Favre in his late 30s. He could be gotten better and made the jump to elite status. Hopefully Denver goes to Superbowl. This seems like the ultimate stab in the back. “Thanks for saving our season” bye.

Umm Cousins is 29, statistically far superior than Keenum, and Keenums supposedly getting 20m vs Kirks 28m.
I was talking about the salaries for the two last year. I didn’t see the Denver deal for keenum yet. Keenum would’ve gotten 20 million here if cousins signed with Arizona or the jets. Keenum isn’t better than cousins statistically but neither is worth 82 million guaranteed.
The cap went up again and on a normal year, keenum would be THE best free agent QB available. Free agent QBs are rare unless they are really flawed. I am kinda worried about the loss of the coordinator more than anything.
