I think either would work –

    Don’t overthink it – you’re replacing a block of wood…

I’d get either of these. Then I’d center it on the tubing and mark the spots on each side to drill new holes then just pick up a similar 3″ bolt from Menards to hang the new bracket and roller. If a 3″ is not available, I’d make one using threaded rod…. be pretty simple to fashion. Lastly you could consider drilling thru the bracket and the chassis tubing and installing the bracket with 3/8″ bolts.

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. That block of wood seems to be doing the job just fine.

I don’t know if the ones you posted will be tall enough, and one of those is usually used on part of the frame that runs parallel with the axle.

Look at this style, a lot of boat trailers use them on the front tubing like yours.

Glad to see this finally posted (I think I submitted it on Sunday morning laugh ).

After more searching I was kinda thinking what Bman posted also due to the height issue.

And yeah, the block of wood sort of works but figured this would be a good upgrade for $35.

    Thanks everyone!
