My wife and I are leaving this Friday for a week long trip to Kabe! Just wondering on a general area to start fishing as it is our first ever trip up there. We are staying on the east end of the lake but willing to run as far as needed to find some fish. Thanks for any info!!

We were there in June. I’m sure the pattern has changed. I’m sure the bait shops and resort would be willing to share some advice. There are a lot of deep humps that I’m sure are holding fish this time of year. If you have some wind we had good luck pitching jigs in to the soft bottom bays at the weed edges where the wind was piling up the fish. Chartreuse seemed to be the best color. Again this was in June. There is also a hotspot map that I’m sure you can buy up there that will give you some spots.

Water temp is still low 70’s. Water is turning green on Kab. We will be pulling lead core all weekend. Trolled for 3 hours last night and popped 1 fish. Big cool down hitting for next week, I think fishing will be good then.
