As of now I have 3 trips planned and I’m hoping to make 4 before freeze up. I’ll be up on fishing opener to open the cabin and get docks in. Ice permitting of course.
I’ll also be up on memorial weekend for a week and in mid July for a week. Hopefully we can make it back around labor day as well.

Staying at Peterson Point for 5 days the first part of July, and then have another 5 day trip to East Wolf Pack island in late July (blueberries here we come grin )
And I’ve got another 4 day trip to east Rainy in August.
I’ve got time in June, if work allows, for another trip, but sites are pretty picked over if trying to get a site on short notice.

We are going to give the opener week a try this year, bringing my older brother with this time, mama and wyatt staying home. I’ve got the sat before the 4th of July thru the 4th scheduled off, will see if I can talk her into a roughing it camping trip up there but if her uncle’s cabin in two harbors is open we will probably stay there and hit the duluth area reservoirs instead (she’s not much for actual camping).

Doubtful I will male a fall trip this year, I’ve got 4 days at the end of October that is the last of my PTO that I’d like to try 6 days straight of pre-rut bow hunting, 22 years of bow hunting and I’ve never had the opportunity to chase them that many days in a row.

Unsure how many more May trips up there I will get (with bringing the family anyway), with wyatt becoming school aged i dont think mama will be very pleased at the idea of me yanking him out of school to come along with.

I spend a lot of time around Wolf Pack, maybe I’ll bump into some of you this summer.

Best of luck and good fishing!!

Took a road trip yesterday. Lots of snow and snowmobilers. Ash Trail Lodge, Sunset, Ash-Ka-Nam all had sleds and trailers everywhere. They were expecting rain in the afternoon so you might want to check before heading up. Heard they were writing speeding tickets ($197) so watch your speed. The ice road is plowed wide from the Ash River visitors center over to the Kab. visitors center. Catching big crappies.
