I just ordered THE Otter Hub Resort from L&M Fleet for $395.00. The wife is going to kill me when it shows up (Hahahaha) I could not pass up the price. A couple years ago I bought the Otter Lodge 1200 and love it. I don’t plan on getting rid of it I just wanted the flexibility of having 2 options for shacks when I’m able to fish.

Can anyone give any input or feedback regarding the hub? I’ve seen a few vids online, have not really seen anything bad. I know some folks were disappointed because there was no mesh nets. I think I can improvise with some cargo netting. Also looking into getting rubber flooring possibly. Any suggestions on that?

I want make it as nice as possible since, more than likely Ill be living in it when the wife finds out. )

my fishing buddy has one. all I can say is wow that thing is big!!! we fished 4 fellas in there and I think we could have fit 2 more. as far as the quality its an otter so its good. I cant say it stands out from the crowd in anyway aside from its size. Having said that, I would chose it over most other Hubs out there. I just bought a Polar Bird this year though as I thought they had some great innovations and the price was great

Mine came in the mail today. I am not too impressed with the zippers on both doors. Right at the midpoint, they bind and want to jump teeth. I am going to try to leave it set up for a few days and lubricate the zippers. Hopefully this will help. I knew about this issue before I ordered, but thought I would take a chance. Starting to have regrets. Other than that, it looks to be a great shelter. I actually sold my 949i to purchase it. I sure like having a lighter interior. It makes it so much nicer to light up at night.

I was also going purchase one prior to the zipper issue. I hope otter recognizes this issue and redesigns for next year. Would be a big mistake if they did not. The shelters look rock solid other than that. First year in the hub market so expected a few tweeks.

Joe’s has them for $375 right now. As I’ve stated before, I’m waiting for next year to see if they’ve fixed the zipper issue, put netting in the top, and have a bigger storage bag.

Finally got a chance to use my Lodge a couple of weeks ago for the first time and didn’t have any problems with the zippers on either door. Love the room I have in it and a Portable Buddy Heater is more than enough to keep it nice and warm inside. Lack of mesh nets is not a issue for me.

Love the hub! We can fit two guys fishing, two Marcums, three chairs and all of our camera gear inside while we film for shows.

Jakob Hals, Rob Bethke, John Ellingsworth and I fished inside of the XTH RESORT for Sturgeon last week (just fun fishing). Each of us had micky mouse holes (three holes for Sturgeon), a chair, the heater and gear without any issues. Easy Up, Easy Down! They make a great base camp too.

I just spent the past two days fishing in blizzard like conditions in South Dakota with three guys in my Otter hub and had plenty of room and no issues with the extreme wind gusts. Like Nick Said it is so easy to set up and take down and the anchors it comes with screw in so easy by hand.

The zippers are Like that in hubs that have those style doors. They get better once you use it a couple times and break them in. Very good hub shack from otter.

Big thing when setting up in the wind, make sure you get one or two corners anchored before popping it up, especially if it’s very windy, or else it will be an expensive kite!

I have an Eskimo 949I and LOVE the thing. The Eskimo drill attachment is quite nice for getting the anchors in the ice quickly – I looked at the clam one but being plastic made me question the long term durability.
