The high water we got a week ago was dropping nicely thru the week then sort of flattened out and is holding steady at 1 foot above summer pool, or in other words, at a no-wake level. I don’t fish the lake on holidays , weekends or afternoons so I actually love it. Typical holidays out there are a zoo of idiots on jet skies and water skis so this should cool their heels. And that worthless water ski club is out of the picture now, hopefully for good.

We’re getting some significant rain again today and maybe again tomorrow so that could get the water on the rise again. Sure been a tough year for the crappies to get things done but they still have three weeks before things get dicey so this weather and no wake is good news to get things back to a more normal spawning period.
