Hope that trailer came with studded tires.I think it looks more like you should be hooking up the sleds. Good luck and be careful in the morn.

Whatever happens most likely will not be nearly as epic as Pat McSharry’s muskie pursuit last October. They literally had to cut their way out!

For those that don’t remember, or have not read his post…I highly recommend that you do. I for one will never forget this story. This is what I immediately thought of when James started this thread.

I’m hoping our time on the water results in a completely different kind of epic, non-miserable, type of experience.

Well if you do end up going 4 miles down a logging road, don’t forget the chainsaw AND plenty of gas. whistling

Good luck, looking forward to the next episode!

Loved the Brown Trout show! Hope this trip isn’t to Erie… I’ve been losing sleep to get back there and would hate to see what I was missing. Then again, I would love it! Enjoy whatever….

Just came back from there. Fishing was slow and now the lake is really dirty. Won’t be good fishing for awhile.

She should have followed up with the specialist in Houston.

I fished the Detroit River and NW part of Lake Erie all last week. River was full of males and the lake had a lot of smaller females still with eggs. The BIG females were about 50/50 spawned out both in the river and the lake. We fished last Thursday in 4 to 5 foot waves. Our boats biggest fish was 29.5 inches and 8.8 lbs. A friend in another boat caught a 30.5 in 12.8 lb female. She was ready to unload her eggs. We used big jigs and shiners in the river and trolled cranks in the lake. Our best trolling bite was 25 to 35 feet back behind the boards.
