Finally had some time to spend at the farm, so slept out in the deerstand last night. Can’t even describe how relaxing it is to sleep in and wake up to fawns bleating and playing.

Ruger has been glued to my hip all weekend. I can’t even go in the bathroom without him whining

Very true. Technically it was a work weekend. Insurance review with the agent, Forestry Manager cam out for a walk through on the trees we planted to develop the next 2 year plan for trimming, brakes on the tractor, fix steel on the pole barn, gutters on the deerstand finally, and a bunch of little stuff.

Fortunately, most of that work was easy and still left me time to relax a little. Now, its time to focus on getting ready for elk season
