In the past two weeks I am receiving 15 to 30 emails per day advertising everything from viagra to skin tag removal and “everything” in between!!!! I have not given out my email to anyone!! Bad part of the whole situation, when you go to unsubscribe, all that comes up is another add or an “error” page. There has to be something a person can do. Any tech help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

It’s Easy,, do this for every email you get each day until you aren’t getting any new ones. You run a rule for emails from that sender and direct them to your junk folder.. Works great.
Run rules manually
1.Open the “Manage Rules & Alerts” dialog. Outlook 2007. Tools-> Rules and Alerts… Outlook 2010, Outlook 2013 and Outlook 2016. File-> Manage Rules and Alerts.
2.Click on the button: Run Rules Now…
3.Locate and select your anti-Junk rules.
4.Select the Junk E-mail folder.
5.Click Run Now.Reef WPosts: 2716May 26, 2017 at 11:58 am #1696143If you have the option to mark it as spam do that instead of just deleting it, that’s how the email provider learns what is spam. That being said it sounds like they are doing a pretty worthless job of spam filtering to begin with if you are getting that much. Who is your email provider?

ever since I subscribed to a couple of movie providers like hulu or netflix,my spam folder,( not the kind BK likes ) has been overflowing.
as said, any help would be appreciated !May 26, 2017 at 12:24 pm #1696148DO NOT UNSUBSCRIBE FROM JUNK EMAIL!! Once you do that they learn it’s a live email addy and bombard it with more junk. The spam button is a more useful tool for such circumstances. The unsubscribe button is only good on emails from which you have signed up for in the past, just don’t wish to receive them anymore.

THUNDERBIRD. If anyone else has them I would appreciate a “how to” with this provider.

Thunderbird is the client you use. Your provider is the part after the @ in your email address.
There are two ways to control this. Your provider can classify the message as spam so that it never goes into your inbox in the first place. The second way is that the client can classify it as spam and move it for you.
In Thunderbird (the client) you may have to turn on the junk mail filter. There are some instructions on how to do that: https://www.lifewire.com/turn-on-spam-filter-thunderbird-1173123
May 27, 2017 at 7:52 am #1696247I have multiple email adresses to alleviate the spamming. I have one for people I know and important things. Then I have a junk one for signing up for freebies, conests, and general stuff like that. Then I have a really junk email that I rarely use. Gmail has a great spam filter and also utilizes a “primary” and “promotions” tab. Advertising, coupons, etc. get sent to the “promotions” tab and your phone doesn’t alert you of those. Legit emails from friends, family, or online shopping confirmations go to the “primary” tab so you know those are worth reading sooner than later. I recommend gmail if you’re not already using it.
For promotional/advertising/spam emails, I’ve come to believe that the less you open the less you’ll receive over time. So I don’t even open them. Just delete.

No wonder you don’t answer my emails!
May 28, 2017 at 7:39 am #1696342BK, no matter what I do, your emails always seem to get stuck in the SPAM folder!!
