Hit the E today, since it might be the last day before the weather takes a dump on us tonight. Went out from 2 to 5:30 and didn’t see a lot of pods of fish to stop and slab, but I did find a couple. Just couldn’t get anything to go. Saw lots of fish out in 45 FOW but couldn’t get em to hit. Talked to one other boat and they said it was few and far in between. Water was still 48 degrees….but that’ll change, and quick. I did manage to get 3 crappies by tying off to some trees in 35 FOW, and they were right near the bottom. The first two were hawgs too, 12 and 12 1/2″, but they were probably the thickest fish I saw all year, they looked like bass when I brought em up. Definitely in my top 5 crappies all year. Not a bad day at all, good one to be out on the water. Here’s a pic of the ramp, too……as you can see, the water is droppin. You can now see all the rocks they put up on the bottom of the dam.
