Had an uncle in town from AZ, so we decided to hit some areas for some fish. Friday was a struggler in the area, and we had a real problem putting any fish in the boat. But as it got closer to dark, the fish really turned on. Was able to get my uncle into a lot of fish, which was a fun time. Saturday was the day of losing big fish, but only by me. My buddy Quint and our friend Hunter got a real nice double Saturday night. While Hunter was reeling in the 20 1/2″ sauger in the back of the boat, Quint had the nice 24 1/4″ thrashing around up front. I do have to say, I did a great net job. In addition, Q’s son Evan reeled in his first fish as well, which made for a really excited 3 yr old and a great night. Real nice fish guys, way to go!

    Nice job Brian

Don’t knock the importance of the net man. I always figured when trolling the two most important guys are the guy driving the boat and the guy with the net . Anyone can reel them in. Now my netting lately has been less than steller, the guy driving the boat needs to slow down (oh wait that is me too… )

Thanks Matt. One of these days our schedules will match up and I’ll gladly volunteer to be your net/drive man. It’s right around the corner ya know….
