I’m a tree worker of twenty + years, mostly residential tree removal. I Took a year off to work in North Dakota on the evil dacota access pipeline with the 49ers operating engineers until it was done, then back to trees.
February 9, 2019 at 12:11 pm #1833962Retired, so I have more time for hunting, fishing and playing with grandchildren. I spent 30 years as a prosecutor, putting bad guys in prison; and before that I was a cop and firefighter for 8 years. Life is way better than good.
With the name Honest John I was sure you were a used car salesman.
I retired from the NFL as kicker for the Minnesota Vikings.
My nickname back then was “Friendly Freddie”…

Federal Investigator for the Food & Drug Administration.Someone stole my profile. First time I have not been able to log in for years.
I’ve never processed meat and I don’t own firearms.
Yikes!
The USDA regulates meat and the ATF regulates firearms. FDA has nothing to with either one there slappy.

February 10, 2019 at 3:26 pm #1834227Current Jobs:
I’m a teacher full time and Athletic Director. I also coach football. During the summer when I’m not at camps or fishing I do side remodeling jobs and help friends out with a mowing/landscaping business. 90% of the time I enjoy my collection of jobs and the wearing of many hats. I enjoy the balance of hands-on physical work like construction remodels, mowing and equipment maintenance during the summers…and the other work from teaching and being an AD.Former Jobs from my younger years:
Data Entry for the Admissions Office at SCSU, Farm Hand, Field Work, Lawn Mowing, Snow Removal, PaintingI’m a firm believer that every job has its pros and cons unique to the tasks at hand. The trick is to find a career that has more pros than cons for you personally. There’s great earning potential in a variety of fields IF people are willing to put in the time and effort.

February 11, 2019 at 10:54 am #1834389Schleping data, usually to tell a story.
Used to schlep data for music retail, inventory, finance, and pricing. The last 12 years I’ve been schlepping data for a couple health insurance companies. Originally on the provider payment side, now on the customer (group) side. Example, trying to tell a story to our customers explaining what they bought.February 11, 2019 at 12:06 pm #1834426I’m a enginerd by day for a exhibit tradeshow company. I am also an enginerd by night doing contract engineering for your favorite fishing companies. I dable in a few other business ventures as well, including the manufacturing and selling of “Crazy Jigs”
But if you ask my wife what I do she would probably tell you I am a salesman who tries to sell her the opportunity to say yes to me going fishing….

[/quote]I had a couple artificial discs put in my neck thru Health Partners. Very good care at the specialty clinic.
I’m a superintendent ( baby sitter) for a mid size excavation company in the cities. Possibly will be buying in soon. Usually get the winters off by my choice, so not sure if I want to buy in or not as that part would probably have to come to an end.

February 16, 2019 at 6:28 am #1835944Interesting to hear how many guys on here are parking in the tech and data field. In December I switched from working on the remarketing side of the car business to now sales of telematics/data solutions to construction and equipment rental companies. We are hiring like most companies currently if anyone’s looking. Both technical support reps and sales people.
