My official title would be a product application engineer. Essentially onsite product support throughout MN, WI, and northern IA.
February 8, 2019 at 12:17 pm #1833633Structural steel detailer, starting year 29 in May. I prepare shop drawings of the structural framing for a variety of different structures. Hospitals, office buildings, schools, manufacturing facilities, frac sand plants, etc. All of beams, columns, stairs and other miscellaneous steel items. We also create erection plans so that the field can put it all together.

As a side gig, I’m a Construction Superintendent for the global leader in CIPP technology.
A “trades job” that has paid very well and has provided many opportunities (some of which I have declined-like relocating for promotions).
I’ve been on the other side of the planet to train crews….kinda neat, but I like where we live

I’m a communications manager in higher ed. My expertise is with writing and language— Technical and professional communications.
These days I mostly build websites. The primary reason I work where I do is for all the vacation days and flexibility to work from home or in the evenings. Puts me on the boat/ice during on a LOT of weekdays.
Cool to see such a range. Takes all kinds to make it all work.

Have also done Fashion retail management in New York and Chicago. Prior to that I was with American Airlines Passenger Services (back in the old days when it was fun to fly)>

Also semi retired leather worker making concealed carry holsters and belts, Big River Leather. I only come out of retirement to make myself a new rig.

Maintained the equipment for the office. Had a good career a good mix of office and road work.
