Jiffy pro 44 ice auger

    Just recently purchased a Jiffy pro 44 ice auger. Any tips and tricks for using it? I read through he entire owners manual and seems pretty straight forward.

    Pull cord once maybe twice, drill hole, fish, repeat.
    If you have to pull the cord 3 times you are doing something wrong.

    Couldn’t have said it better myself. May not be the fastest or lightest of augers, but they haven’t left me without a hole in the ice.

    be carefull not to let it chatter! blew out clutch last weekend guy at Jiffy said the clutch spring broke because the auger must have chattered? not sure but my 2 year old auger needs 63.00 clutch they do not sell just a spring!! maybe 200 to 300 holes. kinda sucks my old mag III is 32 years old still drilling holes
