Can anyone tell me what kind of engine is on these? My dad has one and it crapped out on him just after the warranty expired. He’s been trying to talk to Jiffy customer service, but they are as worthless as they come. He can’t get any answers from them and they don’t seem to want to help at all. He took it to a small engine shop and they said it’s a plastic timing gear that’s stripped out.

Jiffy does not sell internal engine components. You will have to go to the next level of service to get that. Your best choice is to pick up a demo head unit on the jiffy website for $230. Your money ahead with a better engine.
