    2014 JD x540

Power steering, extra blades, regular maintenance, never blown snow, 550 hours, no issues other than typical wear and tear

What’s it worth? A local guy I’ve worked with in the past told me to make him a cash offer. I’ve given up on finding a SCUT to mow and use for work. I’d rather get a dedicated lawn tractor like this to use on our steep lawn and continue to use our bigger equipment for other stuff.

I’d be checking Facebook marketplace for comparables. JDs keep their value and some people do want gold for them.

From my own experience, I had purchased a JD zero turn (smaller 42” deck model) with 120 hours on it. Used it for 3 seasons and sold it for what I had paid for it.

I just bought a used X500 with 3 bag powerflow bagger and snowblower attachment for $5400.00 this past spring. It also had @550 hours. I thought I got a pretty good deal on the package.

Property owner I managed land for was in the hunt late summer and early fall to find a reasonable price x500 series. Anything below about 3500 was junk. The 4200 to 5500 seemed to be the going price. He made a lot of 3500-3800 offers and was shot down on most. Ended up with a machine with about 380 hours for 4K
