I have two JC Higgins moddl# 537 3105 rod and reel combos that I am looking to sell. The rods are steel and look to have all their eyelets. The are 4ft long. The one is missing a handle so that needs to be replaced or a good parts reel. I got 4 of these from my father in-law and cleaned them up nicely and they make great wall hanger pieces in my man cave. They look to be from the 1950’s. Asking $40 for the pair.

Those are cool. I have a similar one that we found in my MIL’s basement. She thinks it was her dad’s. I have been meaning to hang it on the wall for a long time, but I haven’t figured out a great way to display it. I also have my great grandpa’s shotgun that needs to be hung!

This is what I did with the old fishing lures and rod that I currently have.

Cool! Does it stay in that orientation (reel on top), or did you have to secure it?

    (sorry to hijack)

I put the hooks tight to the wall and the trigger on the rod keeps the rod like that. I would not put holes into a rod to mount it. I am working on an idea for a old ice rod I have. Also it was my wife’s idea to put it in our living room.
