Jason, LuAnn, their son Logan, friend Parker, John Imaizumi and son Matthew joined us July 29 – thru August 1 for the nicest weather and superb fishing. We traaveled from Base thru Brule Narrows on down to Kempton’s Channel; and moored at the houseboat site called Kempton Entrance South. Billy Dougherty, Jon Balaski, and Kevin Erickson provided the guiding services for Jason’s family and friends. Bernie Lessard provide his culinary skills.
Jason and I met on a pheasant hunt in Akron, IA almost ten years ago. We became friends, still hunt together, and fish in the spring. We fished several different ways on the trip, jigs and minnows, Lindy Rigs and leeches, slow death and even a little trolling Reef Runners. Fishing was good throughout the trip. The last day was surreal, we boated over three thousand inches of walleye from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
