Went to LOTW with my dad and a long time fiend of mine for a couple of days of fishing.
We fished out of a Dynamic Outdoors house. They had their houses out roughly 14 miles from Wigwam resort.
Couldn’t get any fish to go on Rippin Raps but a gold spoon with a red glow stick sure did the trick. I would say 2/3 of our fish came jigging and the other 1/3 came on dead sticks with a plain hook.
We caught roughly 120 fish between the 3 of us for the 2 days of fishing. Lots of saugers in the 12 to 14” range.
The only slots we caught were a pair of 21” fish my friend and I went back to back on yesterday.
I had heard there was 27” of ice but we had 22” under our house when we measured.
These pair of fox were hanging out yesterday morning by an ice heave roughly 5 miles from shore.
We also seen a half dozen elk on the drive back this morning by Grygla.
