Hello James, let me start by saying I really enjoy your show. One thing I’ve always beeen curious about is why you don’t wear ice cleats. Was wondering is it a preference or is it the noise they make on ice. I fish primarily shallow lakes (10-20 ft) and often wondered if it matters.

I don’t wear cleats because of the noise they make on the ice that’s picked up in our mics. Essentially it sounds like someone crunching a bag of potato chips just off camera and it makes the editors very unhappy.
