I got into customizing my jigs and spoons the last two years and it has worked out nicely so I’m back at it again

Those jigs look great! It always surprises me the little things you can do to jigs that make a big difference, and it is so rewarding when you have success on a jig you created or modified.

Thanks and your right it feels so much better getting a slab crappie on a jig you designed and customized D Well any fish but the 14 and 15in crappie in my local lake that are more ghost story then real were the reason behind the custom touch 2 years ago when I first got the ice bug I was fishing with some plain little jigs and a cheap little pole and reel just to try out ice fishing again in my adult life turns out I like fishing lol so the ice was not going to stop me… Long story short those cheap little jigs would nab a good sized crappie every once and a while so I just figured maybe they just needed a little different touch so I painted a few and went back to try my luck needless to say I scored big nothing under 13in came topside that week and it was looking to be a great winter go back out that weekend and northern after northern came and took all my nice new painted jigs thus and order for some replacements and some paint later and I’m Hooked ;)

here are some of the other jigs and the proof that if you think it needs a little extra paint give it a shot it might just pay off )
