What a way to lose. Double-Doink off the goal post, after your kicker getting iced. That one is gonna sting for awhile!! But hey, there’s always next year!!!

I told all my buddies that Philly was going to hang tough with DA Bears. It ended about how I expected – Down to the last minute. That does have to hurt though. I feel a little bad for that kicker. He had a rough year to say the least. Not to bad as I’m sure he will get paid good money by someone down the road – not sure if it will be the Bears though

The Bears deserve the results. They should have pulled all their starters after halftime with the Vikings and rested them. And if the Vikes pulled off the win, then bonus, because they knew they could beat the Vikes, and also knew Philly was on a winning roll. So I have no pity for how they ended their year.

One note, I do feel for the kicker, cuz after the fact, it was noted that a D-lineman got a finger on the kick, so really not all the kickers fault, although he will take all the fault. Better coverage, maybe they would have noticed the touch on video replay and at least lightened the load on the kicker.

I’m impressed by the bears. They could’ve rolled over last week to play us again in the playoffs, and basically get a “buy” to the next round. But they kicked our buts and opted to go the hard road.

I for one was cheering for them. Very viking like way to lose.

Did they really kick our butts, or did the vikings put their tail between their legs and roll over?

Do you think Blair gave Cody a call or text? If so, hopefully Cody’s number appears primarily on the left side of the phone keyboard…

It’s hard to put all the blame on the kicker when Treyvon Hester tipped the ball at the line of scrimmage. Very entertaining game to watch.

I’ve been hearing a lot about how the Bears screwed themselves by playing hard all game against the Vikings. It may or may not have, who knows, it’s all subjective. I think it may have more to do with the fat that after the 1st tier of elite teams in each conference, which is very few, the rest are pretty equal.

I just can’t bring myself to fault a team for playing to win at any point, and that’s what the Bears did against the Vikes in week 17.

The Bears might want to also look at the Golden Tate touchdown when they only had 10 players on the field. Not a great idea when the other team is a few yards from the endzone!

The Vikings loss their chance to be in any discussion last weekend. Bears lost a play-off game all on their own.

Not to hijack the thread or change subject but who do the eagles ditch at qb? I can’t imagine they keep wentz and foles both would be in high demand
Maybe the vikes shoulda waited 1 more year on that 1 guy they needed to win the big one??

The Vikes could hire Jesus Christ to play QB and the trolls would still say we got it wrong. I don’t see Nick Foles as the answer to our problems but who knows. When given the chance to be a starter by name rather than by default as a backup coming in for injury Foles has played very poorly.

I think Foles played the Majority of last season and who was the Super bowl MVP?

I was pulling for Chicago. They earned it based on how they played this year. Regardless, what a game. The NFL couldn’t have hoped for a better ending.

If we were to land jesus as qb, you think maybe then we would build a o line to block for him

Foles wins on luck, he needs luck on his side to pull off wins. A lot of his throws are just thrown out there and he needs the WR to go get the ball to make it a play. Guys like Cousins need to do more of that, trust in your WR to make a play, especially with Diggs and Thielen. But, luck does not last forever, and Foles will fail eventually, and probably fail badly, when he gets a full time QB job for a team with lesser OL and WR’s. He is a No Fear quarterback, living off good luck, and hey, it won him a Superbowl and an MVP, and will likely win him a high paying starting job with some sorry team. But my guess, in the end, he will be talked about just like Trent Dilfer, another Superbowl QB that was overrated. And I may be 100% wrong, that is why it is so hard to be an NFL GM!!!

The Bears D was good enough to take the team to the Super Bowl this year if the bounces went their way. Putting the starters in for the second half versus the Vikes was a foolish move. I said it at the time and had a strong belief the Bears would struggle versus the Champs. Bears fans have to be asking themselves what could have been. Same as us Vikes fans post-Walsh shank.

I agree Bass Pundit. I have had many discussions/arguments on whether the Bears should have taken the Vikings game more lightly or not. Spirit of the game discussions. Some think, play every game as hard as possible, and it works out the way it should work out. But I am on the other side, each team should do as they best decide to give them the best chance to win the Superbowl, that is the end goal.

In this case, the Bears knew they could beat the Vikings, rest your players and if the Vikings win the game, then it is a Win/Win scenario for them, cuz they know they can win the first playoff game against the Vikings. If the known opponent was not set, then its a different decision, but the only scenarios were Vikings or Eagles. And the Eagles were on a winning streak, and looked like the better team.

I never cheered so loud, as when the Bears kick doinked of the upright at the end of the game. Good for them, they chose their opponent and lost.

Yeah, I cheered too when the Vikings kicker missed TWO field goals in OT against the Packers, that 1/2 game was the difference between playing in the post-season or watching it on TV,,,,,

    Just in case you forgot.
