The busch apple latte’s that is! Out last friday after work and launched out of hoksila. the rains sure cleaned up the river nicely! I pulled cranks on leadcore mostly and pulled some spinners on bottom but all my target species came on cranks and one specific color? I don’t know why I even try different cranks? I’m hardly killing it but 90% of my fish come on this one particular flicker shad. sorry but no pic. if this perfect weather keeps up, I will have to make it out weekly. wouldn’t be a day on P4 without a bunch of sheep but nice to see some nicer eyes too.

Only thing worse are Naturdays. I agree, they are all yours.

Nice fish though! Was pretty slow on P2 yesterday.

Naturdays are significantly better. I cannot finish a Busch Apple.

I quit drinking over 20 years ago. Back then a double door cooler at the store would cover 90% of the beer drinkers I knew. Had a guy do me a favor. Went to the liquor store to buy him a 12 pack. Felt like I was trying to pick out a pair of shoes for my wife. I drank Old Style, live it up with a Special X, Moosehead or Heineken. Labatt’s north of the boarder. Along with black Folgers coffee, or unsweetened unflavored Lipton ice tea. My Grampa married a Social Climber. She told me I was “Plebeian”. Meaning {one of the common
people}. Because I ordered a plain beer in a fancy marina bar in Laguna Hills. I figured if that meant I wasn’t like her, I was good with that! If I’m hungry for pumpkin pie, think I’ll have pumpkin pie. Great thing about a free country. If you like the beer your neighbor brewed in a old pair of waders in his garage. Bon Appetit.

Unfortunately I can’t have all of them because they sell out so fast. Looks like Busch started production early so they don’t run out in fall!

I’m an equal-opportunity drinker. I drink the “Plebian” and “non-Plebian” beers. It all tastes good to me. Taste buds are taste buds. As much as some like to think so, it has nothing to do with sophistication. You either like things or you don’t, and your sense of taste changes throughout your life. Unfortunately we let these shallow thinkers wield WAY too much influence in our lives and they turn it into a class thing.

I didn’t get a chance to try Busch Light Apple last year, I’m gonna try and get my hands on some – seems polarizing and I’m fascinated by it. I’m usually not a big cider beer guy, I like the taste but my gut doesn’t. We’ll see how it goes.

Nice fish Eyeguy. Glad to hear the river’s getting flushed out a little with the rain.

Not my intention to try to Influence anyone. As I meant by it being a free country.. Mostly speaking to things progressing beyond my comprehension. Beer, new trucks, electronics. I’m coming up on 70. Have never changed anyone’s mind on anything. Gave up trying a long time ago. Enjoy a beer of any flavor, or your drink of choice. Brew Pubs have been a saving grace to a lot of vacant restaurants and store fronts. Manufacturing the equipment has created good jobs. Mostly actually in the USA. Take a breath, I’m a fan.

My opinion on the apple latte’s is mine. Had a couple tonight on the rider and man are they delicious. I almost want to pack one in my lunchbox. Not so sweet like those ciders but just perfect, only thing missing is the leaves falling. I love me some blue smoothies too but can’t drink em like I did in my early years. Even the most famous Busch snob agrees!

When it’s hot out I put the blue smoothies down and I pick up the twisted tea raspberry or half and half.
Talk about a wonderful drink on a hot day

Well, I picked some up because of the hype. I really want to like it, but this crap gives me gut rot after one can or less. And I have literally never gotten gut rot from any other beer yet… To each their own and whatever your body will tolerate!

haha this made me chuckle and i can relate to this. I found myself in the walmart of liquor stores last week (Total Wine) and i looked to my friend and said “back in my day a store could fit every brand of beer along one wall of coolers. Now we have an entire warehouse for them”

Having said that i have a hard time drinking those old school American light beers anymore. I dont like the super hoppy stuff but ill take a good session IPA any day over anything with the word Busch on it

And this made me chuckle, I love Total Wine ($13-14 cases of Keystone light!) and always try the sample beers. The vendors are so funny, this is a Double Chocolate Stout with cocoa beans from the Himalaya’s and a 6 week brewing process found in the archives of an old Belgian monastery, on sale for $26.79 a 6 pack. Cool. rotflol And I like craft beer, but tone it down Ezekiel, I only care if it tastes good. Keep your beard out of it, and I might buy some if it means you can afford jeans that fit. rotflol

Just saw this for the 1st time yesterday. I was doing keto last year so I wasn’t in the beer cooler. I prefer beer flavored beer and don’t really care for cider so I will pass on this. I think the worst beer I ever tasted was Summer Shandy. How did the taste of lemon furniture polish ever become a beer flavor?

Summer Shandy is delicious on a hot sunny day. Literally if it’s not hot and sunny then I find it nasty. Kinda odd but thats how it works

Shandy….ugh. But to each his – or her – own.

I will say, for those of you/us lucky to have access to New Glarus, Totally Naked is a great summer beer. Lighter (though not light beer) with some actual flavor.

That’s weird. I can flip that around and say Corona tastes awful without lime in it. We used to visit a German place in Frankfort, IL called Chef Klaus Bierstube that served Hacker-Pschorr on tap with a slice of orange it. Great no matter what the weather. I dated a wild waitress from there for a few crazy months.

rotflol I am going to use this line.

Bearcat, where did you find twisted tea raspberry. I have not had one of those in years and was looking for them last week. I can only find them in the sample pack. I just don’t like the other flavors.

Totally naked is one of my Favorite beers. Almost anything from New Glarus is great. If you ever get a chance to stop by the brewery there, do so. They have a great tasting setup and a tour of the brewer.

Hacker Pschorr Octoberfest with a lemon slice is one of my favorite things. I haven’t had it for a long time, I should go get some.

Thank you Sharon and Bearcat. The other flavors should pair well with the lemon smoked chicken tonight.
