……to getting so good! One of my favorite spring crappie spots was so close to the great prespawn/spawn bite going off. Water temps in channels and protected coves were in the high 50s and we’re thick with small male crappies. There were a few bigger females moving up in the evening as well along with some big bass that every few minutes would absolutely destroy one of those small male crappies with a great topwater blowup.
This cold weather coming will certainly stall things out but that just gives us more time to enjoy the prespawn bite a little longer.
Was surprised I haven’t had to share it with too many people so far.
