All time favorites for me that have spinoffs. For me the spinoffs have never been as good as the originals. The latest is Suits. For some reason I loved that show. I’ve watched the re-runs several times and always find myself chuckling over something Harvey has done or said. The new one feels strange. They follow the same mannerisms but with different characters. They say you have to watch the new ones 3 times before forming a solid opinion. I’m truly hoping I like this but I already have my doubts.

The new Matlock comes to mind here. I never cared the first version, but this second version is flat out dumb.

CSI Miami…..enjoyed the original……the newer one is ok.

NCIS……i enjoy most them. still a bit grumpy they dumped the Hawaii one. i thought the original with Mark Harmon was best but when he left i wasnt so sure but i like the new guy in hie place.

the origins……. meh…….

other spinoffs….Hawaii 5-0 is good…..but that is over.
magnum spinoff is really good!!!

I agree with Matlock, everything seems so cloudy and bizarre. Not really a clear story line. I’m not a huge Bates fan anyway.

There’s not many better than the originals. Better Call Saul is probably the best I can think of. And, although there are much better ones since, Star Trek The Next Generation was a pretty huge improvement over the original. Would also add NCIS here since that’s a spinoff of JAG!

Jag took place more in the courtroom if I recall. I guess NCIS might be a spin-off (I don’t recall) it just seems different then Jag.

It was really different but NCIS pilot/intro was a 2 parter in season 8 of JAG.

Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage makes me chuckle. The new Mother In Law is a pretty good character.
