Issue with Helix 9

On my trip last week my Helix 9 kept losing the bottom while in 100′ – 200′ of water. The screen would blink and it would say I was in 30′ of water. I was constantly having to reboot the unit to get accurate readings back. Anyone had such a problem or have any ideas?

I have an I/O Dave. I keep loosing bottom when i’m in a tad rougher water until I installed the “Y” splicer cable and added the high speed transducer to the rear. Problems solved.

Did you play with the sensitivity? What kHz were you using for those depths I would think you would be using 80khz

It is in Chirp mode so running multiple frequencies.
