Looking for any length and action St. Croix rage spinning or casting rods. They were discontinued 7-8 years ago and I love them.

My rage 610mxf I got free from a rod deal with gander mtn st.croix offer years ago. Best dam rod I own by far.

I will cry when it breaks, and that’s not exaggerating.

I have a 6’10”mlxf spinning and it’s a nicer rod than my legend extremes!
The 7’1”mxf casting rod is about the finest jerk bait rod ever made also!

Curious what you like about them? You could get something built that’s close, but not quite the same.
They were a SCIII blank (avid, mojo) with light, cheap components. Pac bay minima micro guides, minima reel seats, and the early version of Croix neoprene grips. A similar – “better” – blank and the reel seat and guides are available to rod builders relatively cheap.

tswo–I’m curious what you consider a similar/better blank available to rod builders…I’m a rod builder, and the SC3 avid blank (was very popular)is no longer available from St.Croix…..whats the replacement for the 3S66MLF, in your opinion?

I’ve emailed with Rod Geeks/St. Croix about offering sc3 blanks and they have no plans to. Their stance is you can get the Carbon 4 which is a “better” blank with similar tapers at the same price that we could buy the sc3 blanks for.

Can’t say I own one, but I’ve heard the legends about them. I’d pay high dollar for one based on what I’ve heard

    Any luck?

I’m still mourning my broke 610mxf. Fall is upon us, and I need it back bawling bawling bawling

I found a 6’10” mlxf and a 6’8”mxf with about 2” off the tips. Still awesome rods! I will seriously trade a 6’9”mlxf legend extreme for a good condition rage spinning rod!!
